1、 Analysis of raw material characteristics
Raw material type
Natural gypsum: It is necessary to distinguish between raw gypsum (calcium sulfate dihydrate) and hard gypsum (anhydrous calcium sulfate). The former can be directly ground, while the latter requires activation treatment.
Industrial by-product gypsum (such as desulfurization gypsum and phosphogypsum): pre-treatment (such as dehydration and impurity removal) is required. The moisture content of desulfurization gypsum is 10% -20%, and a drying system is needed.
Physical parameters
Blockage: Natural gypsum needs to be crushed to ≤ 30mm, and it is recommended to use an integrated hammer crusher and drying equipment for by-product gypsum due to high humidity.
Impurity content: Phosphogypsum needs to control phosphorus impurities (P ₂ O ₅ ≤ 0.5%), and high-purity gypsum can simplify the cleaning process.
2、 Core factors for equipment selection
Selection of Grinding Equipment
Raymond mill: suitable for processing medium fineness of 80-400 mesh, low cost, suitable for low hardness raw materials such as desulfurization gypsum.
Vertical mill: integrating crushing, grinding, and grading, suitable for large-scale production (such as annual production of over 60000 tons), with a wide range of adjustable particle sizes.
Ultra fine vertical mill/ring roller mill: used for producing high fineness powder>400 mesh, such as gypsum based self leveling mortar.
Supporting system
Crushing system: Jaw crusher (coarse crushing)+impact crusher (medium crushing), recommended hammer crusher for by-product gypsum.
Calcination system: The commonly used rotary kiln for building gypsum powder (150-170 ℃) requires precise temperature control.
Dust removal and packaging: combination of cyclone collector and bag filter, the finished packaging machine needs to match the production capacity.
3、 Balance between production capacity and cost
Small scale production (<10000 tons/year): optional Raymond mill+simple crushing line, investment of about 500000 to 1 million yuan.
Medium to large production lines (>50000 tons/year): It is recommended to use vertical grinding and automated control systems to reduce energy consumption by more than 30%.
4、 Special requirements handling
High purity requirement: It is necessary to add a cleaning process (stone washing machine+dewatering screen), with a water utilization rate of ≥ 80%.
Ultra fine powder production: A classifier (such as a turbine classifier) is required to ensure that d97 ≤ 10 μ m.
